Today marked the beginning of an 18 month journey for NASDSE in our quest to develop an in-depth strategic plan that will guide our future work. The NASDSE Board voted to hire Human Dynamics Consulting to facilitate this critical process.

Today I spent the afternoon with Mr. Tim Griles and Mrs. Lou O'Boyle (see above) laying out our Project Plan. Here is what we worked on:
1. Developed planning process and methodology
2. Reviewed process for getting plan review, edits and approval
3. Established project points of contact and communication protocols
4. Developed a stakeholder engagement plan
5. Reviewed ideas about a strategic planning team, the process and calendar of events
6. Gathered lists of relevant data and information needed to inform the process
7. Reviewed draft interview questions and schedules for engaging stakeholders
NASDSE will be working with you over the next few month to gather critical stakeholder/membership feedback and ideas. Our goal is to have a draft strategic plan ready to share at the October Annual NASDSE business meeting. Mr. Griles and Mrs. O'Bolyle will be working with me, the NASDSE Staff, and the Board of Directors on a weekly basis to accomplish this goal. The project has been divided into 4 phases:
1. Phase 1: Where are we now (February - May)
2. Phase 2: Where we want to be (April-July)
3. Phase 3: How will we get there (July-Oct)
4. Phase 4: How to manage and lead the change (Oct - July 2020)
Keep a lookout for more to come!!!
